Acer will announce the arrival of a new tablet in the form of the Iconia Tab A700. It will be powered by a quad-core nVidia Tegra 3 processor with 1GB of RAM. It will have the latest operating system from Android – Ice Cream Sandwich.
It has been designed for media playback as it will offer 1080p HD quality. The display screen will be 10.1 inches and have a resolution of 1920 by 1200. The sound system on this tablet will feature Dolby Mobile 3 audio and has the ability to output 5.1 surround sound.
Inside the tablet will see 32GB of internal flash memory but this can be extended further by much as 64GB through the micro SD reader giving you a total of 96GB. It will have a micro HDMI port for connecting the tablet to an external display and a micro USB 2.0 port for transferring your data.
The A700 will have a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1-megapixel front camera for video calls. The battery life for this tablet will see you get 10.5 hours for video, 8 hours for web browsing. It measures in a 10.9mm thick and weighs 1.42 lbs.
