Activision has released the first of its twenty downloadable content packages for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 through its Elite service. The first piece of downloadable content brings two new multiplayer maps to the first-person shooter game. The new multiplayer maps are set within Italy and America entitled ‘Piazza’ and ‘Liberty’. For users of the Xbox 360, the content will be exclusively available for those who signed up to the Premium Edition of the game through their Xbox Live accounts.
For PC, PS3 and non premium members, it is more likely it will be a week before the first in-game content is released. Activision has also revealed that it will make twenty in-game content packages available over the period of nine months with the new multiplayer maps marking the first in the line. Other in-game content due to come will be new Spec Ops missions and new game modes.
