Google have finally began offering a beta version of its Chrome browser for Android phones, which begins its move to unify its computer, tablet and mobile phone browsers. The browser is only available for phones and tablets currently running the Android 4.0, so this means that only 1 percent of Android devices are applicable.
The new Chrome browser offers many features for those who also have chrome on their PCs. So when you are signed into Chrome on both devices, the browser can be used to display the same tabs on both devices, with the facilities to complete work on both devices. Bookmarks can also synchronized across devices.
Prior to this release, Google had developed a separate browser that was included with Android devices, so far there has been no news to say whether they will be releasing versions of Chrome to be compatible with earlier versions of Android or other competitive operating systems.
The mobile browser market is quite selective as people mostly just use the operating system that comes with the phone, and do not want to spend time downloading a new OS. Therefore, to break into this market you really have to develop something good. This is the hope Google has for the Chrome.
