Microsoft has rolled out a preview version of Outlook.com, which is a more developed email interface for existing hotmail users to now try. The new email interface is to provide a more refined experience for users email accounts, whether they are accessing from a computer or a mobile device.
Outlook.com feature a much cleaner look as it now display 30 percent more messages compared with Hotmail, whilst the header now has 60% less pixels. There is also no more display ads being featured.
The emails will come via the SkyDrive cloud service with Outlook categorising them depending who they are from. Emails from anyone in your contact list will be grouped together with any newsletters coming under one category as Microsoft have said this will enable to move through their emails quickly and easily.
Contacts with your account will be synched with social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google. They will also be integrated with Skype meaning you will never miss an important update from your friends.
Outlook.com has also integrated with Office Web Apps such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote enabling users to view and edit documents within their inbox.
Users of Hotmail can upgrade to the new interface via the options menu in their account. You can easily switch back to Hotmail interface. Emails sent from a Hotmail, MSN or Live accounts will be picked up Outlook.com. You can also a new Outlook email address if you want.
