Samsung has begun sending out invitations for a launch event on the 3rd of May, where it is expected that they will unveil their new smartphone – the Galaxy S3. A Dutch technology website Tweakers.net and Pocket-Lint have revealed they have received an official invitation to the event in London. On the invitation itself, it reads “Come and Meet the Next Galaxy”.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is likely to be one of the most sought after phones this year when it is released. This new smartphone is expected to feature a SUPER AMOLED display screen of between 4.6 and 4.8 inches. It will be powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor and will be running the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
There has been rumours that this smartphone will have wireless charging and also whether the device will have a physical home button or not as Android 4.0 does make use of this feature.
We shall see on the May 3rd whether Samsung does launch the Galaxy S3 as it is rumoured that it will be released towards the end of May.
