The Tritton Primer Wireless Gaming Stereo Headset is the first wireless headset in the range to be released in conjunction for the Xbox 360. It uses the proprietary 5.8 GHz wireless technology that brings a more superior audio clarity compared with the 2.4GHz industry standard. The majority of headsets uses the 2.4Ghz band and thus it is more likely they will encounter some interference from other devices like cordless phones and Bluetooth devices. As the Primer Wireless Stereo uses the 5.8GHz band, it can dispense these interferences by using a larger bandwidth.
The Primer headset has been well designed as it has two 40mm drivers on each ear cup that delivers crystal clear sound. The 5.8GHz wireless technology allows you to cover a great distance with the headset. The right ear cup has a battery bay that fits two AA batteries and the left ear cup is where you have controls for the in-game chat/volume, power, sync and mic mute button. There is also a line in so you can connect the headset directly into the Xbox 360.
The headset unit comes with a sync station which allows you to connect the Xbox 360 via micro USB to USB for wireless audio syncing. These headsets are ready to go as soon as you take them out of the box as it has all required cables and adapters meaning you can set it up with your Xbox 360 within minutes. Whether your Xbox is a legacy or current-gen model, you can connect these headsets to the display screen via the HDMI port or component/VGA/composite.
