Sim Free Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Box.co.uk is stocking the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and is the first mobile phone that features that the latest operating system from Google – Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). It has been designed so that it can work on all platforms such as mobile phones and tablet devices.

The Galaxy Nexus has been designed with slim look and feel making it easy to fit inside your pocket or the palm of your hand. The back case has a textured look that allows extra grip when holding and the buttons are well spaced out. It is powered by 1.2 GHz Samsung Orion Processor with 1GB of RAM.

The 4.6-inch AMOLED display screen has a HD resolution of 1280 by 720. It displays strong colours and has sharp picture detail, which looks fantastic when looking at photos and watching videos. The 5-megapixel camera has LED Flash and instant shutter speeds and when taking photos there is zero delay between shots.

Record videos at 720p high definition and has an excellent frame rate and works very well when filming in light and dark conditions. 16GB of internal storage allows you to store your media collection (i.e. music, videos and photos) and apps. It will come with some pre-loaded apps such as Google Search and YouTube.

The Galaxy Nexus has built in Wi-Fi as you can connect device-to-device wireless without having to use a wireless access point. With Bluetooth, you can transfer data between your phone and the computer without the need to connect the phone to the computer.

With GPS built-in, you can use this alongside location-based services such as Google Maps in order to find out where you are and get directions to your favourite places.

One of the main features of this smartphone is the operating system from Google Android – Ice Cream Sandwich. The new OS brings a raft of new additions including better performance and also has a new Face Unlock feature which allows you to use the front-facing camera to recognise your face in order to unlock the phone. Google does however warn that this is less secure option than using a PIN number but it is another option to choose from.

In addition, there is improved keyboard accuracy and multi-tasking capabilities.
