Hundreds of Fortnite gamers from across the Midlands came
together on Saturday to play against each other in a Last Man Standing event.
The event, held by the UK's leading technology e-commerce
business, Box.co.uk and supported by Cooler Master, saw gamers of all ages pit
themselves against each other to win prizes including a new gaming PC.
Mark Jordan, managing director of Birmingham-based Box.co.uk
said the business was overwhelmed by demand from people wishing to play: "We've
held gaming events in the past but Saturday's was by far the most popular.
"People were queuing at the doors before we started and then
hundreds of people watched as gamers of all abilities tried their hand at
Fortnite. We will definitely be repeating this type of event."
Gaming influencer and Fortnite professional Ty Bracey also
attended the event. He said: "I've had a brilliant day and enjoyed meeting all
the Fortnite fans and local gamers. I spent most of the time giving away tips
to help them play better!"
Box.co.uk sells an extensive range of technology
and computing products through its specialist website and retail shop,
including laptops, desktop PCs, phones and tablets, components, monitors and
printers. The business was founded by
Mark Jordan in 1996 and today is the UK's leading technology e-commerce
business, employing over 100 people and turning over £42 million.
