Here at Box.co.uk we offer both Intel and AMD Ryzen processors as part of our computer components range, but which brand is best and how do you choose?

Both Intel and AMD have fantastic processors for every-day tasks such as web browsing and productivity tasks, and they also both make great options for gaming, video editing and tougher tasks that do require more power. Though each brand presents similar options in these areas, they do each have their specialities.

With such well established history in the tech and processing fields, both AMD and Intel are great options. To help you decide, we've chosen some categories and selected out best options for different functions.

If you're looking to complete much heavier tasks with your PC, AMD excel in this field with their Threadripper products, capable of up to 128 Threads.
