Interview with Lucy Elizabeth

UK based Twitch Streamer.

Name: Lucy Elizabeth
Pronouns: She/her
Based in: St. Albans, UK
Platform: Twitch

Hi Lucy! Tell us three fun facts about yourself.

Hello! I don't think I can actually think of three fun facts about myself, maybe one? That I grew up in Spain but I moved back to the UK just over four years ago.

When did your streaming journey begin, and what inspired you to start?

Just before Christmas I started streaming the odd game of Warzone I think, and then after Christmas I started to stream more often.

I started streaming because of lockdown to be honest. When Warzone came out all of my friends were playing it, it's cross-platform which meant I could play with all of my friends no matter what platform they were playing on. I actually think being able to play Warzone with my friends kept me sane during lockdown! So streaming my games and having people join me while I played was very appealing and I absolutely love the community I've found.

What's your favourite game/content to stream/share? What do you enjoy most about it?

Probably Stardew Valley and Warzone, but I love playing a load of different games. I love that when I play different games, people in the chat help me out. I played Little Nightmares a few weeks ago and it was probably a good job I was streaming, I don't think I would've finished it alone.

Do you feel like there is a stigma for women streamers in the industry?

I do! I've had a few people say that it's easier for girls, but I don't think that's true. I think it's about the work you put in and the content you provide. I have been quite lucky though, in the fact that (so far) I haven't had any issues - But I do know of some female streamers that have had people give them crap for it.

What's one piece of advice you'd give to women who want to begin streaming?

Just go for it and take no nonsense from anyone.

Where can people find you online?

You can find me on Twitch, Twitter and Instagram!
