Welcome to our page for Micro and Mini PCs, these can offer you all the power of a desktop PC whilst barely taking up any space as they are absolutely tiny in size (as the name suggests).
A micro PC is pretty small, usually averaging about 9.6 X 9.6, these are so small that they can be placed on your desk leaving plenty of space for documents, stationery and even a cup of tea. Mini PCs take this one step further, as they are even smaller in size, usually flailing under 8 X 8 inches. A mini PC is so small it could even be mounted to the back of your monitor for a totally clean workspace...after all a tidy space is a tidy mind.
A micro or mini PC has a range of benefits, they offer you power through a day of work such as web browsing, checking on emails and creating documents, or an evening of entertainment such as media streaming, social networking and more. They even allow you to make your workstation portable, as they are lightweight and easy to pop into your bag when moving location, although we would not recommend using this as an alternative to a laptop.
Yes! A mini PC is a brilliant choice for working from home, especially for those struggling with space (we know how difficult it can be trying to create a makeshift office). They can offer you all-day performance at home without the need for a large tower.
Yes, they are a great choice for an office, reception desk or even classrooms as they take up virtually no space but still offer power for daily tasks. They also have relatively low power consumption so can be more economical in the long run. Plus, with fanless models, you can enjoy practically no sound for an office environment with minimal irritating noises.
So mini PCs are ideal for a whole host of environments, but what’s the catch? There isn’t a match as such, but it’s worth bearing in mind that a Mini PC or Micro PC may not offer the same power as a full-size PC and therefore may not be suitable for specific tasks such as high-performance gaming or content creation.
Whilst you can get pretty awesome specs on Micro PCs and Mini PCs, such as up to 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and even Intel core i7 and AMD Ryzen Pro 5 processors - you may find that these aren’t up to heavier and high-performance tasks. For gamers and creators, such as CAD designers or video editors, we would recommend a specialised Gaming or creator PC.
Now that you’re all clued up on micro PCs and Mini PCs, you know whether they are the ideal choice for your needs. One of the best things about a Mini PC is the price, here at Box we have excellent deals on Mini PCs and Micro PCs where they start from just over £200. This makes them an excellent choice for those on a budget who just need a great PC without breaking the bank. Our huge range doesn’t just cover specs and features as you can find a variety of popular brands such as Dell. HP, Lenovo and MSI.
