I use the machine as my daily laptop, and for simulation games, in particular Microsoft Flight Sim 2020, where I get frame rates in excess of 30fps on a 4k monitor and Train Sim Classic which runs at higher frame rates. The Erazer is quiet in ordinary use, with fan noise when gaming, but not too much in my view.

I prefer the plastic keyboard casing to a metal one. It's warmer to the touch!

The keyboard backlight is pretty silly - it does not shine through the keys (except for AWSD), so it does not help seeing the keys in a dark environment.

Overall, a really nice machine to use!

While on paper this laptop is a cracking deal every expense has been spared. The first laptop I have had with no SD card reader. Yes it has a discrete GPU, the one that it often avoids using in favour of the CPU that will just hog RAM bandwidth. OK so turn the built in off you say? sure, so I loose access to the external display port and display port in the USB-C port. This is because this laptop is so cheaply built that they didn't even put the switching circuitry in to change which graphics card the ports connect to, they just distributed them across the cards. Oddly the internal sucker of a GPU gets 2 ports and the built in display with only the HDMI port connected to the nvidia GPU.... The built in display will switch over to the nvidia card if the intel is disabled. Of course they could not even de bothered to make sure that the built in display appears unplugged when the lid is closed. This means that if you want to use it shut on external monitors you will have programs launching onto the closed laptop display. It's just a farce....
